Job summary

Southeast Health is seeking a Patient Registration / Revenue Cycle Support role to assist with patient information, billing, and scheduling in a health care environment. You will be the first contact for clients, handling inquiries and processing enrollments.

Responsibilities include verifying coverage, obtaining pre-authorizations, collecting payments, and maintaining accurate patient records while delivering excellent customer service in a busy setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Prefer two years of hospital or clinic revenue cycle experience.
• Working knowledge of computers.
• Medical terminology required.
• Medical terminology may be completed through SEH training and development program within orientation period.

Responsibilities

• Works as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide answers to inquiries and questions.
• Troubleshoot problems and provide information.
• Handle intervention or referrals with professional and respectful customer service, telephonically or in person.
• Provide a variety of support services in day-to-day operations of a health care environment.
• First and ongoing point of contact for all clients by phone or in person.
• Provide scheduling or patient enrollment for services.
• Enter/update demographic, financial/billing, caregiver contact, and other information for patient records.
• Verify third party payer coverage and collect self-pay balances.
• Schedule patients for planned clinical services and make referrals to resources.
