Job summary

Southeast Health in Alabama is seeking a Revenue Cycle Specialist to assist with patient registration, scheduling, billing, and pre-authorization processes.

The role requires strong communication, basic computer skills, and attention to detail to ensure accurate patient records and reimbursement. You will be the first point of contact for clients, coordinating billing information, authorizations, and financial assistance programs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Prefer one year of hospital or clinic revenue cycle experience.
• Working knowledge of computers; medical terminology may be required.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Training available during orientation period.

Responsibilities

• Provide answers to inquiries and questions as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Troubleshoot problems and provide information.
• Handle referrals with professional and respectful customer service, telephonically and in person.
• Support day-to-day operations in a health care environment.
• First and ongoing point of contact for all clients, by phone or in person.
• Schedule patient enrollment for services and enter/update demographic and financial information.
• Verify third-party payer coverage and collect self-pay balances.
• Schedule clinical services and coordinate referrals to resources.
• Obtain authorizations and signatures for billing and clinical treatment.
• Coordinate self-pay workflows and assist patients with financial assistance programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
