Job summary

NAMSA is seeking a Pathology Technician II to independently perform necropsy procedures and routine GLP-compliant tissue analysis in our Minnesota facility. You will assist the manager, coordinate tissue shipments, and train newer technicians while maintaining strict logbooks and SOP adherence.

This role requires a biology degree and at least five years’ GLP/nonclinical experience; strong organizational skills and ability to work with clients on complex requests are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor degree in Biological Sciences or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a GLP, nonclinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Independently performs necropsy procedures, including complete necropsies and perfusion.
• Performs routine gross examination as required by GLP standards, and records accurately.
• Assists manager with daily schedule and workflow coordination.
• Coordinates shipping of pathology specimens and maintains logs.
• Performs tissue trimming and silicone castings per SOPs.
• Provides training to Pathology Technician I & II staff.
• Identifies process improvements and assists in SOP updates.
