Job summary

NAMSA is seeking a pathology support professional in the United States to perform necropsy procedures, assist with gross examinations, and manage specimen shipments. The role supports GLP-compliant lab operations and requires attention to detail in record keeping and SOP adherence.

Candidates should have an associate or bachelor’s in Biological Sciences, or ALAT certification/eligibility, plus laboratory experience.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor degree in Biological Sciences or related discipline.
• Two years' laboratory experience and ALAT certification or eligibility within six months.
• Experience in GLP or nonclinical pathology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports or independently performs necropsy procedures including complete necropsies and perfusion.
• Assists gross examination and maintains GLP-compliant record keeping.
• Coordinates shipping of pathology specimens and keeps logs.
• Performs tissue trimming, photography, and X-ray imaging per SOPs.
• Keeps lab equipment and logbooks in compliance with SOPs.
