Job summary

The Burt Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead on-site operations for commercial construction projects in Austin.

You will own daily field activities, coordinate subcontractors, manage material deliveries, ensure safety compliance, and maintain thorough daily logs. You will run weekly meetings, oversee inspections, and work closely with the Project Manager to keep schedules aligned and milestones met.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of superintendent experience on commercial construction projects.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand project cost analysis.
• Strong knowledge of construction scheduling and planning.
• Proficiency in Procore, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Project.
• OSHA 30 certification required.
• Excellent communicator who works well across all trades and project personnel.

Responsibilities

• Manage all day-to-day field operations including subcontractor coordination, material deliveries, quality control, safety compliance, and daily logs.
• Run weekly subcontractor meetings, oversee inspections, and keep schedules updated with the Project Manager.
• Be the face of The Burt Group on the jobsite, maintaining strong relationships with clients, property managers, neighboring tenants, and the design team.
• Support project milestones and ensure field operations align with overall project goals.
