Job summary

The Washington Post is seeking a seasoned Senior Manager, Partnerships Operations to transform partnership strategies into scalable business implementations. You’ll align Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance, Marketing, and Analytics to launches and enable sustainable revenue growth through governance and execution discipline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Operations, Engineering, Computer Science, Project Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in business operations, partnership operations, technical program management, implementation management, product operations, consulting, or related strategic operations.
• Experience translating commercial objectives into operational requirements, technical plans, governance models, and scalable execution frameworks.
• Experience working with Product and Engineering teams and communicating between technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience designing governance, playbooks, workflow documentation, and scalable business systems.
• Strong systems-thinking and problem-solving skills with ability to identify risks and dependencies.
• Excellent project management, stakeholder management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience with AI licensing, platform partnerships, digital publishing technologies, APIs, or emerging tech partnerships is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational planning for strategic partnership launches with roadmaps, governance, milestones, dependencies, and accountability.
• Translate partnership objectives into scalable operational and technical implementation plans.
• Drive cross-functional implementation efforts across Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance, Marketing, Audience, Data & Analytics, Advertising Operations, and other teams.
• Lead technical discovery to identify integration requirements, data dependencies, and risks.
• Evaluate approaches for new partnership opportunities including AI licensing, content distribution, subscriptions, and emerging revenue models.
• Design scalable operating models, playbooks, templates, and documentation standards to improve execution consistency.
