Job summary

Sweetwater, the nation's number one retailer of music instruments and pro audio gear, seeks a Senior Paralegal, Legal Operations to join its growing Legal team in Indiana. This role blends legal and operational work, partnering with the General Counsel to support contract review, litigation support, regulatory compliance (including data privacy and AI), and day-to-day project management.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of legal experience in an in-house or corporate environment.
• Experience with contract review and management, litigation holds, and document collection/production.
• Strong written and verbal communication, working with attorneys
• High integrity, empathy, ethics and discretion.
• Strong judgment and reliability with confidential information.
• Exposure to IP portfolio management and brand protection strategies.
• Exposure to Legal Operations, Privacy and AI governance concepts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial contract reviews and redlines of agreements and maintain a contract repository.
• Build and supervise work product of AI agents.
• Perform intake and assessment, legal hold issuance and tracking, data collection and e-discovery coordination, and internal stakeholder communications.
• Assist with responses to subpoenas, warrants, and other inquiries, including scope evaluation, deadline management, and document/data production with attorneys and business stakeholders.
• Coordinate signature workflows and ensure proper execution of agreements; manage outside counsel relationships.
• Assist with portfolio management, docketing deadlines, Legal Dept intake for new IP requests, and USPTO searches.
• Perform regulatory research and drafting of filings.
• Prepare and assist with corporate filings and supporting M&A diligence and closings.
• Organize and maintain legal files and records; perform special projects as assigned.
