Nationwide is seeking a Senior Paralegal in the Trial Division to support attorneys from case inception through resolution. You will manage case files, coordinate discovery, prepare for depositions and trial, and interact with courts, vendors, and outside counsel.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in a paralegal capacity doing demonstrated insurance related litigation.
• Certification in paralegal studies strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of court procedures, filing requirements, discovery practices, and trial preparation.
• Experience in filing and scheduling procedures of the various courts; familiarity with federal and state e-filing.

Responsibilities

• Provides pre-trial and trial support for litigated matters, including pleadings, motions, discovery, subpoenas, and expert coordination.
• Coordinates depositions, hearings, and meetings; communicates with clients and expert witnesses.
• Assembles exhibits, binders, and appendices for depositions, court filings, hearings, and trial.
• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to ethical rules of the state where positioned.
• Performs legal assistant and administrative duties as needed.
