Job summary

Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP seeks a Senior Paralegal to join our Chicago or Houston office (hybrid). The Senior Paralegal provides advanced support across all phases of litigation, guiding practice staff and attorneys with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities include leading federal and state court filings, discovery management, depositions, document review and privilege logs. Requires six years of paralegal experience, a bachelor’s degree, and strong knowledge of Relativity and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; six years of paralegal experience or equivalent.
• Experience with government investigations (SEC/DOJ) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Federal and State court rules; proficiency in e-filing.
• Proficiency with research tools (Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER).
• Excellent research, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Leads and assists with the preparation and filing of Federal and State Court pleadings and other papers.
• Guides discovery through document review, production and depositions.
• Assists with interviews, depositions, hearings, trials and client meetings.
• Reviews motions and briefs, including cite-checking and formatting.
• Coordinates complex filings and large-volume submissions.
• Manages deadlines and prioritizes tasks across matters.
• Performs advanced data management and analysis for matters.
