Job summary

Baxter Healthcare is seeking a Manufacturing Technician IV who will assist the supervisor with organizing and directing team members in a GMP-regulated production environment. You will execute production processes, troubleshoot equipment, and lead continuous improvement initiatives while adhering to safety guidelines.

The role requires strong communication, math skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and medical device equipment. Shift work including weekends/holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in written and verbal communication skills and understanding of cGMP regulations.
• Must be able to provide input and articulate production metrics.
• Incumbent must be proficient in a variety of mathematical disciplines and be able to work with both the metric and USA standards of measurement.
• Must be able to read and follow detailed written instructions.
• Good interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment.
• This position requires shift, weekend and holiday work. Overtime may be required at times.
• The incumbent must work in a clean room/classified environment wearing special garments. Additionally, PPE and hand sanitizer must be worn due to safety requirements.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office/Word/Excel applications.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Medical Device equipment.
• Knowledge of chemical and biological safety procedures per applicable guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the supervisor in organizing, scheduling and directing other team members.
• Execute all processes in production while adhering to cGMP, EHS guidelines and related regulations.
• Interface with other departments to resolve issues; represent the department in cross-functional teams.
• Lead Continuous Improvement Teams and review relevant paperwork following GDP/GMP guidelines.
• Train and mentor team members and monitor training for newer staff.
• Collaborate with other functions to ensure preventative maintenance is scheduled and completed.
• Prepare and package product for shipment where applicable.
• Print and reconcile process documentation; close GME and Maximo work orders; perform cycle counts and variance investigations.
