Job summary

Baxter Healthcare in Hayward, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Technician IV to assist the supervisor in organizing and directing production, while adhering to cGMP and safety guidelines in a clean room environment. You will interact with other departments, set up equipment, troubleshoot, document processes, and train teammates.

This on-site role requires willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays, and uses both metric and US units.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in cGMP regulations and able to follow detailed written instructions.
• Must be able to provide input and articulate production metrics.
• Incumbent must be proficient in a variety of mathematical disciplines and work with metric and USA units.
• Good interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
• This position requires shift, weekend and holiday work; overtime may be required.
• Must wear PPE in a clean room/classified environment per safety requirements.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Medical Device equipment.
• Knowledge of chemical and biological safety procedures per applicable guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervisor in organizing, scheduling and directing team members in production.
• Set up and operate general production equipment and lead local manufacturing operations.
• Perform complex equipment troubleshooting and respond to process alarms.
• Review paperwork following GDP/GMP guidelines and lead continuous improvement teams.
• Prepare and package product for shipment where applicable.
• Train and mentor team members and monitor training for newer staff.
• Collaborate with other functions to ensure preventive maintenance is scheduled and completed.
• Print, reconcile process documentation and close GME and Maximo work orders.
• Lead cycle count and variance investigations.
