Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Senior Packaging and Material Handling Engineer to optimize packaging and material handling processes across North American facilities. You will drive safety, quality, cost and throughput improvements while leading lean initiatives and collaborating with R&D on packaging specs.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and at least 5 years in related manufacturing, with travel across sites and a strong command of data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years in engineering or plant manufacturing focused on packaging and material handling.
• Experience with packaging types: plastic pails, metal buckets, 55 gal drums, cartridges and liners.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Apps, AutoCAD and Minitab.

Responsibilities

• Transition new packaging and material handling processes through development of effective manufacturing processes and equipment operation.
• Perform trials, studies and capability analyses to understand and improve process capabilities.
• Demonstrate use of statistical methodologies to reduce process variation.
• Utilize Value Stream Mapping to analyze, design and manage material flow.
