Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Sr. Packaging and Material Handling Engineer in Nashville to optimize packaging and material handling processes across facilities. You will apply lean principles, conduct time studies, and lead kaizen events to improve safety, quality, cost and throughput.

You will analyze plant performance, develop value streams, and partner with R&D for packaging specs while training plant personnel on equipment and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field with focus on packaging and material handling.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering or plant manufacturing in related industries.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and statistical tools like Minitab; experience with office suite and Google apps.

Responsibilities

• Lead packaging and material handling process optimization to improve safety, quality, cost, and throughput.
• Perform trials, capability studies, and time studies to reduce variation and improve efficiency.
• Map value streams and support CAPEX projects for packaging and handling systems.
• Collaborate with R&D to develop packaging specifications meeting customer requirements.
• Train operators and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.
