Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to act as the senior owner's representative, leading complex builds, retrofits, and expansions for our logistics network. You will own budgets, manage design and external partners, and drive procurement and delivery end-to-end across the region.

The role requires 60% regional travel and the ability to relocate within reasonable commuting distance to the office.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in construction management or related discipline.
7+ years of experience managing design through construction and handover.
7+ years of experience negotiating construction, procurement, and labor contracts.

Responsibilities

Act as senior owner's representative for complex projects across assigned region.
Oversee end-to-end project management services, design services, and external partner performance.
Own project budgets and oversee spend approvals; lead procurement functions.
Lead external partner selection, contract negotiations, and management of developers, general contractors, architects, and design consultants.
Oversee design and engineering, including evaluations, conformance reviews and value engineering.
Develop project strategies and allocate resources to execute them.
Monitor performance metrics, identify risks, and drive corrective actions.
Coordinate with AHJ for permitting and regulatory approvals.
Champion safety programs and foster safety culture across project teams.
Present decisions and trade-offs to Directors and VPs; write narratives for leadership.
Drive continuous improvement and develop playbooks for team and region.
Mentor L4/L5 CMs and contribute to team development.
