Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Construction Manager in NA D&C to lead autonomous delivery of complex construction projects, including large-scale builds and expansions. You will mentor managers, drive safety and compliance, and partner with external teams while traveling up to 60%. You must live near or relocate to a corporate office location.

You will oversee budgets, design, procurement, and external partner performance, delivering strategic outcomes for Amazon's logistics network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience as Architect, Engineer, Construction Manager, or similar construction discipline.
• 7+ years of project management from design through handover.
• 7+ years of experience negotiating construction, procurement, and/or labor contracts.
• 7+ years of proficiency with AutoCAD and/or BIM, and scheduling software (Primavera, MS Project, or similar).
• Travel up to 60% (Nationwide) with a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end project management services, design services, and external partner performance for complex projects.
• Serve as Amazon's senior owner's representative—integrator between construction, design, and internal stakeholders.
• Develop project strategies and allocate resources to execute them.
• Oversee design and engineering, including evaluations, conformance reviews, and value engineering.
• Monitor metrics, anticipate roadblocks, manage escalations, and enforce corrective actions.
• Resolve complex issues and defend trade-offs to internal stakeholders.
