Amazon.com Services LLC in Boston, MA is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to autonomously deliver complex construction projects within Global Engineering Services. You will coordinate with internal stakeholders across operations, equipment, IT, and facilities, ensuring safety, budget, and schedule adherence in a fast-paced logistics network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience as Architect/Engineer/Construction Manager or related discipline.
• 7+ years project management from design through handover.
• 7+ years negotiating construction, procurement, and/or labor contracts.
• 7+ years proficiency with AutoCAD and/or BIM, and scheduling software (Primavera, MS Project, or similar).
• Travel up to 60% nationwide with a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end project management services for complex projects.
• Serve as Amazon's senior owner's representative — the primary integrator between construction execution, design, and internal Amazon stakeholders across operations, equipment, IT, and facilities.
• Develop project strategies and ensure appropriate resources are allocated to execute in accordance with those strategies.
• Oversee design and engineering of complex projects, including design evaluations, design conformance reviews, and value engineering assessments.
• Monitor project performance metrics, anticipate roadblocks and risks, manage escalations, and ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Resolve complex issues and find a path forward in difficult situations; make trade-off decisions between short-term and long-term needs and defend those decisions to internal stakeholders.
• Assess project performance through KPIs for safety, quality, cost, schedule, and sustainability; develop measurable targets and verifiable milestones.
