Job summary

WPS Health Solutions is seeking a Senior Overpayment Recovery Specialist to support staff with workload management, audits, and regulatory compliance. You will mentor team members, interpret regulations, and help resolve complex overpayment cases while ensuring privacy and process integrity.

The role involves coordinating with the Overpayment Recovery Team, preparing key operation reports, and contributing to continuous process improvements in a healthcare payer environment.

Qualifications

• Two (2) or more years Medicare Financial/Overpayment Recovery experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Overpayment Recovery Regulations and related procedures.
• Ability to train staff and develop process improvements.
• Strong written and verbal communication for reporting and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervisor with workload monitoring, analysis, and escalation.
• Mentor new employees and provide process training.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operations reports.
• Interpret regulations and update work instructions and manuals.
• Research and respond to complex overpayment cases and audits.
• Support internal and external audit processes including CMS/OMB requirements.
• Ensure process consistency and test system changes.
• Comply with privacy, HIPAA, and confidentiality requirements.
