Job summary

CHA Consulting, Inc. seeks a Senior Overhead Electrical Transmission Engineer to lead the planning and design of critical transmission infrastructure from a remote location around Denver, CO or Tucson, AZ.

You will drive grid modernization, renewable integration, and reliability improvements. The role requires a PE license, 10+ years of progressive engineering experience, a BS in Electrical Engineering (MS preferred), and proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years progressive engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures and engineering laws.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering designs and reports for transmission infrastructure including overhead lines and grid-hardening.
• Provide expert consultation and resolve complex transmission engineering issues.
• Lead cross-department projects to deliver resilient, energy-efficient solutions.
• Develop discipline work plans aligned with milestones, budgets, and schedules.
• Mentor junior staff with technical reviews and support.
• Prepare proposals and presentations for clients, the public, and regulators.
