Carter Lumber is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to build and sustain relationships with local contractors, builders and remodelers in Myrtle Beach, SC. You will sell our full line of building materials and installed services, manage the job and relationship after sale, and visit job sites to ensure customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in building materials outside sales, strong communication, and the ability to work independently while maintaining schedules and pursuing

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in building materials outside sales.
• Knowledge of home building basics.
• Create material estimates/quotes and special orders.
• Open new accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis.
• Learn to read blueprints and provide material take off lists.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Sell our full line of building materials and installed services to local contractors, builders, and remodelers.
• Manage each sold job and maintain the customer relationship.
• Visit job sites as needed and keep projects on schedule.
• Maintain up-to-date information on customers' product use and trends.
• Attend related functions and events as required.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
