Job summary

Graybar Electric Company in Denver, CO seeks a Senior Outside Sales Representative for Industrial Automation. You will develop new prospects and maintain relationships with established customers, meeting or exceeding gross margin targets by promoting complex products at customer sites.

You will travel extensively, present solutions, and contribute to trade shows and sales meetings. A four-year degree is preferred, with 5 years of sales experience required.

Qualifications

• Five years of sales experience required; six+ years preferred.
• Four-year degree preferred.
• Knowledge of business administration, sales, and marketing.
• Strong negotiation and persuasive selling abilities.
• Ability to learn the business quickly and work independently.
• Extensive travel, including overnight trips.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed annual gross margin budget by promoting and selling products to more complex accounts in assigned territory.
• Handle customer complaints promptly and report potential claims.
• Keep management informed of local competition and market conditions.
• Carry out sales and merchandise programs as directed, and recommend new items for stock.
• Maintain current customer records, files, and reports of business transactions; assist in collection of past due accounts.
• Participate in training sessions, trade shows, and sales meetings as requested.
• Demonstrate products after sale when necessary.
