Job summary

Beyond Blue seeks a Senior HB Outpatient Coder to code complex outpatient hospital services and support coding staff. You will apply advanced ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines to ensure accuracy, compliance, and optimal reimbursement.

3–5 years outpatient coding experience and RHIA/CPMA/CCS/CPC or equivalent certifications are required. Education in HIM plus hands-on coding expertise enable you to lead audits, resolve escalations, and contribute to process improvements in a remote work setting

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of outpatient coding experience.
• RHIA/CPMA/CCS/CPC or equivalent certifications.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS guidelines.
• Ability to query providers to resolve documentation.

Responsibilities

• Codes complex outpatient hospital services and supports staff.
• Ensures accuracy, compliance and appropriate reimbursement.
• Reviews documentation and initiates provider queries.
• Resolves payer edits and escalated coding issues.
• Supports audits and process improvements.
