Job summary

Terabase Energy is seeking a Sr. Controls Engineer – OT SCADA Projects to lead design, configuration, commissioning and support of plant control systems for utility-scale solar, storage, and hybrid projects.

Expect 80% project execution with 20% process improvement and product development, plus travel up to 10% for on-site work. You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with EPCs and grid operators, and ensure adherence to Utility/ISO standards while delivering high-quality, documented

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 3-5+ years IEC 61131-3/PLC programming experience.
• 3+ years utility-scale power plant controls experience (solar, BESS, or hybrid).

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end controls design for utility-scale solar, BESS, and hybrid projects.
• Program and commission SEL controllers using AcSELerator; develop Codesys logic.
• Identify deviations, implement and validate power control algorithms.
• Maintain version control for code artifacts and documentation.
• Lead FATs, mentor engineers, and present to customers.
• Maintain Jira tickets and communicate risks with solutions.
