Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Senior SCADA Engineer (EPC) to lead SCADA and PPC engineering for the SOLV OTS SCADA solution on utility-scale PV and BESS projects. You will drive end-to-end design, programming, testing, and field support for multiple installations.

The role requires advanced SCADA/PPC expertise, strong automation knowledge, and the ability to mentor engineers. Role offers fully remote or hybrid work with regular in-office presence in Bend, OR; U.S. work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in electrical, mechanical or energy engineering is preferred.
• 6–8 years of engineering experience, with renewable energy exposure.
• Direct SCADA engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of programming languages (C, C++, Java, Python, IEC 61131-3).

Responsibilities

• Lead development and commissioning of SCADA monitoring and control systems for utility-scale PV and BESS projects.
• Define and implement SCADA design standards and best practices.
• Own end-to-end PPC implementation on assigned projects, including programming, hardware/software integration, FAT and SAT testing.
• Generate and maintain project documentation per company standards.
• Provide expert technical support for diverse SCADA configurations.
• Serve as primary escalation point for PPC/SCADA issues.
• Mentor junior/mid-level engineers through reviews and training.
• Drive standardization and process improvements to reduce commissioning effort.
• Coordinate with customers and field technicians for on-site commissioning and installation support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system integration.
• Provide project status updates and risk assessments to ensure timely delivery.
• Promote a team-first culture and proactive problem-solving.
• Adhere to NERC compliance and governance for programming and commissioning.
• Support operations during handoff for long-term reliability.
• Drive continuous improvements across projects.
