Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in distribution automation, OT networking, or control system communications.
• Strong hands-on experience with IP-based networking in OT environments (routing, switching, VLANs, subnetting).
• Familiarity with SCADA, ADMS, DERMS, FLISR, VVO, CVR or similar intelligent grid applications.
• Understanding of OT cybersecurity principles (defense-in-depth, segmentation, secure remote access).
• Ability to translate operational requirements into robust network designs and interpret diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead for OT network engineering and communications architecture for grid-edge devices outside substations.
• Design and support IP-based networks enabling reliable, secure communications between field devices, control centers, and enterprise systems.
• Own field area and wide-area communications using private LTE, Ethernet, MPLS, and SD-WAN for real-time distribution automation.
• Support deployment, integration, and operation of DERMS, FLISR, VVO, CVR.
• Collaborate with IT, telecom, and cybersecurity teams to implement secure OT networks and remote access.
