Job summary

1898 & Co., a division of Burns & McDonnell, seeks a Grid Systems - Senior Solution Architect to lead modernization of utility grid operations for electric clients. You’ll drive architecture across SCADA, EMS, OMS, DMS, ADMS, and DERMS, guiding projects from design through deployment with strong leadership and collaboration.

You will influence executive decisions through strategic tech assessments and roadmaps, focusing on enterprise integration and execution excellence.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field preferred.
7+ years in enterprise/operations architecture or integration.
Experience with electric utility systems: OMS, DMS, ADMS, AMI, Distribution Automation, DER.

Responsibilities

Architect, design, develop and implement SCADA/EMS/OMS/DMS/ADMS/DERMS solutions for complex business needs.
Lead commissioning, testing, deployment, and field support of grid modernization projects.
Coordinate program estimating, planning and budgeting; ensure delivery within scope and budget.
Support integration architecture and enterprise program management using Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
Ensure project quality, milestones, and interdependencies are managed and communicated.
