Job summary

1898 & Co., a part of Burns & McDonnell, seeks an experienced grid/OT systems integration consultant to deploy and optimize SCADA, OMS, DMS, ADMS, and DERMS within utility environments. You will configure, test, and support deployment, perform validation, and contribute to documentation and solution descriptions.

The role requires 3+ years of relevant experience, strong communication, and the ability to work on-site with multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, CS, engineering, or related field with 3+ years of experience.
• Demonstrated enterprise system implementation skills.
• Strong attention to detail, facilitation, teamwork, organization and problem-solving.
• Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative environment.
• Ability to independently solve problems requiring adaptation of standard techniques.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work on-site and handle multiple projects with tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Execute technical consulting and system integration for grid and OT platforms.
• Configure, test, and deploy grid management systems (SCADA, OMS, DMS, ADMS, DERMS).
• Implement distribution applications (power flow, state estimation, FLISR, VVO, DER integration).
• Perform system configuration, parameter tuning, and data validation.
• Analyze OT data and workflows to identify issues and optimize systems.
• Conduct testing, commissioning, cutover activities and go-live support.
• Develop documentation: configuration guides, test scripts, interface docs, support materials.
• Collaborate with solution architects, engineers, cybersecurity, and PMs to ensure alignment with standards.
• Provide troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for grid applications and integrations.
• Contribute to proposals with solution descriptions and scope inputs.
