Job summary

AbbVie is seeking an experienced OT Automation Engineer to lead moderate to complex configuration and programming of OT systems across manufacturing processes. You will act as SME for automation applications, provide technical support, and ensure projects meet schedules and compliance.

The role requires DCS/SCADA/PLC experience (DeltaV, Foxboro I/A, ControlLogix), MES/data historian familiarity, and a strong background in validation and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field with relevant experience
• Experience administering/configuring DCS such as Emerson DeltaV and Foxboro I/A
• Experience with SCADA/PLC programming and HMI graphics
• Experience with validation and data historian (OSIsoft PI) is a plus

Responsibilities

• Develops moderate to complex control configuration or programming per design documents to meet functional requirements
• Acts as SME for Automation Applications and Process Control systems
• Provides process controls inputs and recommendations regarding manufacturing operation continuance issues and process improvements
• Leads the development and execution for OT Systems lifecycle deliverables including validation activities plus associated documentation like System Functional and Design Specifications
• Coordinates schedule with supply chain and operations for maintenance and changes to systems in production; may require overtime
