Job summary

Lyte Fiber in Houston, TX is seeking a Senior Manager of OSP Engineering to lead the teams that engineer, permit, and design fiber to the premise networks. You will own the budget, drive staffing decisions, and align engineering efforts with the network expansion schedule while upholding design standards and timely permitting across all active markets.

The ideal candidate has advanced OSP engineering knowledge in both aerial and underground construction and a proven track record of leading

Qualifications

10+ years of OSP engineering experience in fiber to the premise or telecommunications networks.
5+ years leading engineering or permitting teams, including managing managers or leads.
Advanced knowledge of OSP engineering, materials, field engineering, and aerial and underground construction practices.
Experience with pole attachments, Make-Ready, and joint use agreements.

Responsibilities

Lead, develop, and hold accountable the managers and leads over OSP Engineering, OSP Permitting, and SMB/MDU.
Set clear goals, metrics, and daily expectations for each team. Address performance gaps directly and on time.
Plan staffing, hiring, and workload balance across teams and markets. Recommend organizational changes as the network grows.
Own the engineering and permitting budget. Prepare forecasts, track spend, and perform budget to actual reconciliation at project close.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align schedules with Construction, PMO, Network Planning, and Operations.
