Job summary

Ziply Fiber is seeking a Manager, Outside Plant Engineering in Great Falls, MT to lead an OSP team and oversee engineering activities performed by Ziply employees and vendors. The role ensures quality, timely delivery, and adherence to budgets while collaborating across departments.

You will coordinate permitting, establish schedules with contractors, property managers, and government entities, and monitor cost estimates and project progress.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 8 years OSP experience including quoting, permitting and pre-construction activities.
• Strong leadership skills with ability to mentor and lead others.
• Experience using fiber optic network documentation tools.
• Advanced understanding of permitting processes for railroad, DOT, cities, counties, and pole owners.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and acceptable driving record.
• Pre-employment drug screening required.
• Experience budgeting capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead an OSP Engineering team and provide leadership and mentorship.
• Oversee engineering work orders ensuring design compliance with standards and schedules.
• Coordinate permitting and stakeholder engagement with authorities and vendors.
• Develop project schedules and ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.
• Review contractor invoices and process payments.
