Job summary
IT-Strat is seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator to serve as a senior database administrator for enterprise databases and platform services. The role focuses on availability, performance, and reliability across client/server environments, including DR/COOP planning and data governance artifacts.
You will support reporting needs, query development, and analytics, while coordinating backups and ensuring data integrity and security.
Qualifications
- U.S. Government clearance eligibility (PUBLIC TRUST/SECRET/TOP SECRET).
- BS in Information Systems or related field.
- 8+ years of database administration experience.
- 8+ years interfacing with senior management and clients.
- 5+ years managing Oracle/SQL DB admins for federal or commercial clients.
- Proven ability to create/manage standalone SQL and Oracle databases.
Responsibilities
- Serve as senior administrator for enterprise databases and platform services, ensuring availability and performance.
- Design, configure, and maintain complex databases across client/server environments.
- Coordinate backups, DR/COOP planning, and validation of recovery capabilities.
- Support reporting/analytics, run queries, and assist with SSRS configuration as needed.
- Provide data governance documentation and support security requirements.
