Job summary
Enterprise Horizon Consulting Group is seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to provide enterprise database support for a federal client. This 100% remote role follows Eastern Time hours and covers on‑premises and cloud Oracle environments.
Key responsibilities include installation, upgrades, RMAN backups, HA/DR, performance tuning, monitoring, patching, and incident response. You will mentor teammates, develop automation in PL/SQL, and document changes and root‑cause
Qualifications
- 8+ years of database administration experience.
- Advanced Oracle database administration experience.
- Experience with Oracle Database, Oracle Grid, RMAN, PL/SQL, backup and recovery, HA/DR, monitoring, patching, and troubleshooting.
- Experience in enterprise production environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Oracle database environments.
- Manage backup, recovery, and DR processes using RMAN.
- Support Oracle Grid and high availability technologies.
- Perform installations, upgrades, maintenance, and patching.
- Diagnose performance, storage, and server issues; implement tuning.
- Develop automation via PL/SQL and scripts.
- Document changes, incidents, and RCA findings.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
