Job summary

ASML US, LLC in San Diego, California, seeks a Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead optomechanical architecture for new product development and sustaining efforts. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 10–15 years of relevant engineering experience in mechanical design and lifecycle responsibilities.
• Master's or doctoral degree preferred; experience with GD&T and FEA.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering efforts across new product development and sustaining initiatives.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and suppliers to deliver reliable, manufacturable solutions.
• Design optomechanical parts, assemblies, fixtures, and alignment solutions.
• Perform tolerance analysis and system-level troubleshooting to resolve issues.
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for production and field issues.
• Develop design improvements for performance, reliability, and cost.
• Support lifecycle planning, configuration control, and obsolescence management.
• Mentor engineers and guide technology introductions and roadmaps.
