The role requires a DoD Secret clearance, extensive hardware design experience, and the ability to travel up to 25%. You will drive detailed designs, perform analyses, and guide manufacturing across multiple engineering

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of 10 years in hardware engineering design, development, and production support.
• Experience across multiple DoD programs or similarly complex development efforts.
• Proven ability to perform static, dynamic, and thermal mechanical analyses.
• Strong proficiency with interpreting mechanical drawings and tolerance stack‑up analyses.

Aufgaben

• Provide technical leadership for opto‑mechanical and electro‑mechanical hardware design.
• Oversee structural/thermal analyses, EM simulations, IR drop, and PI/SI analyses.
• Serve as liaison between Program Office, Chief Engineer, and suppliers.
• Track schedules, allocate resources, and coordinate across optical, systems, electrical, and manufacturing teams.
• Manage obsolescence and qualify replacement parts for rate production.
• Support procurement, QA, and supply chain to maintain production pipelines.
• Prepare and present data to ERB/MRB/Change Boards ensuring alignment with Engineering and Operations.
• Lead R&D and prototyping activities for new tech integrations.
• Develop and execute environmental qualification test plans (shock, vibration, thermal cycling, EMI/EMC).
• Lead root‑cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
