Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ seeks a Mechanical Engineer I to design components for tactical missile systems and support production with a multi-disciplinary team. You will collaborate across disciplines to deliver robust solutions and participate in design reviews, trade studies, and data package updates.

The role requires a university degree and 0–2 years of relevance, with 3D CAD proficiency and GD&T knowledge preferred. Onsite work in Tucson with eligible security clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience with 3D modeling CAD tools (modeling and drawing).
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design and document components for tactical missile systems and equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering disciplines, suppliers and other teams to resolve issues.
• Support factory and suppliers with product development, obsolescence and troubleshooting.
• Interface with multiple disciplines to develop design solutions and address challenges.
• Work with limited supervision to meet schedule, cost and technical goals.
• Support peer reviews, trade studies, and data package updates.
