Xcimer Energy invites experienced mechanical engineers to join our Denver HQ in a hands‑on opto‑mechanics role. You will design mounts, benches, and alignment mechanisms for a deep‑UV laser system, spanning concept through test and production support.

Your work spans requirements, trade studies, NX modeling, GD&T drawings, and interface control. Senior engineers may lead subsystems and guide junior teammates in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary setting.

Formación

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of professional mechanical design experience with hardware.
• Proficiency in NX; SolidWorks or Creo acceptable.
• Ability to build tolerance stack‑ups and verify with hand calculations.
• Familiarity with machining, sheet metal, and welding; design for manufacturability.
• Hands‑on assembling, measuring, and testing hardware in lab.
• Experience with precision opto‑mechanical hardware design.
• Strong written and verbal communication; fast‑paced environment.

Responsabilidades

• Design mirror mounts, window and lens mounts, and opto‑mechanical assemblies.
• Develop requirements with optics, controls, and systems engineers; trade studies.
• Analyze designs with hand calcs and FEA to assess stress and alignment.
• Produce NX models and GD&T drawings per ASME Y14.5; manage drawing packages.
• Specify materials and purchased components; work with machinists and suppliers.
• Build tolerance stacks and link to optical budgets.
• Create and maintain interface control documents between mounts and structures.
• Assemble, align, test opto‑mechanical hardware in lab and cleanroom; run tests.
• Support integration on laser system floor; feed lessons back to design.
• Present work at design reviews and maintain documentation.
• Senior level: lead subsystems end‑to‑end and mentor engineers.
