Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of professional mechanical design experience.
• Sound fundamentals: statics, materials, thermal expansion.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD and manufacturing drawings with GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Design opto-mechanical mounts, benches, and supports for deep-UV laser systems.
• Develop requirements with optical, controls, and systems engineers; run trade studies.
• Analyze designs with hand calculations and FEA to assess stresses and alignment.
• Create NX models and GD&T drawings; manage drawings through EC processes.
• Specify materials and components; work with suppliers and inspect parts on receipt.
• Build tolerance stack-ups and connect tolerances to optical budgets.
• Assemble, align, and test opto-mechanical hardware in lab environments.
