Job summary

Xcimer Energy in Denver is seeking an Optical Operations Technician to apply optical assembly and alignment skills to deliver fusion energy. This full-time, onsite role supports our laser systems and manufacturing operations, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and documentation.

You will work with cross-functional teams, assemble vacuum assemblies, operate pumps and pressure vessels, and help maintain cleanroom protocols while advancing the daily operations of the laser systems.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelors degree required; 1-3 years high power or high intensity laser work, or 3-5 years laser alignment experience.
• Experience with opto-mechanical assembly and laser alignment.
• Able to handle fragile optics and move precisely; cleanroom environment experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assemble vacuum assemblies, operate pumps and pressure vessels.
• Ensure Work Instructions and SOPs are followed and meet quality requirements.
• Adhere to cleanroom protocols and safety standards.
• Assist with lean manufacturing and 5S activities.
• Participate in stand-up meetings and communicate issues.
