Job summary

EssilorLuxottica in Greensboro seeks a Senior Production Technician to perform advanced technical work in Surfacing, Finishing, or Coating while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
• 3+ years in optical lab/manufacturing; at least 2 years at Production Technician level.
• Able to operate and troubleshoot equipment across multiple production areas.
• Completion of training in five functions: two at Senior, one at Production, two at Associate.

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced technical processes, calibrations, preventive maintenance, safety checks, and conformance testing.
• Troubleshoots equipment and workflow issues, leads root cause analysis, and recommends corrective actions.
• Segregates and documents non-conforming product, ensuring corrective measures are applied.
• Provides on-the-job training, coaching, and mentoring to Associates and Production Technicians.
• Supports cross-training in other production areas (Surfacing, Finishing, Coating) as needed.
• Maintains records of production, maintenance, and quality control activities.
• Promotes a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
