Job summary

Luxottica is seeking a Senior Production Technician to perform advanced technical work in the assigned production area (Surfacing, Finishing, or Coating) and mentor junior team members. You will ensure high-quality prescription eyewear production in compliance with EssilorLuxottica standards.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years in optical manufacturing, strong mechanical aptitude, and proven leadership and mentoring abilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in an optical lab, manufacturing, or related technical environment, including at least 2 years at the Production Technician level.
• Proven ability to operate and troubleshoot equipment across multiple production areas.
• Completion of training in at least five qualified functions, including two at Senior Production Technician level, one at Production Technician level, and two at Associate level.

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced technical processes, calibrations, preventive maintenance, safety checks, and conformance testing.
• Troubleshoots equipment and workflow issues, leads root cause analysis, and recommends corrective actions.
• Segregates and documents non-conforming product, applying corrective measures to maintain quality.
• Provides on-the-job training, coaching, and mentoring to Associates and Production Technicians.
• Maintains flexibility to support other production areas (Surfacing, Finishing, Coating) as needed.
• Works at Technician levels (Associate, Production, Senior) within surface and/or bench as needed.
• Supports and implements process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
