Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Senior PEPI Manager to lead manufacturing and distribution improvement initiatives for middle-market and large-cap clients. You will analyze operations, design lean transformations, and drive cost-improvement programs across facilities and supply chains.

The role offers a salary range of $125,000–$170,000 annually, with discretionary bonus potential and comprehensive benefits, reflecting geography and experience. Full-time, on-site in the US.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience, with at least 4 years in manufacturing and/or distribution.
• Deep functional expertise in Supply Chain Operations, Manufacturing Operations, Footprint optimization, CapEx planning, Manufacturing 4.0/IIoT, Lean, Six Sigma, TOC, and Value Engineering.
• Excellent fact-gathering and analytical skills, including business process mapping and quantitative analysis.
• Experience designing and leading change/communications strategies.
• Prior strategy and change management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of a target’s manufacturing and distribution operations—organization design, production capacity, efficiency, quality, planning, warehousing, and team capability.
• Evaluate the maintainability and operability of production facilities.
• Review current and historical data to understand efficiency & capacity, including equipment conditions, maintenance logs, spare parts, and detailed production numbers.
• Provide shop floor insights by talking with employees and customers and reviewing all available data.
• Identify potential cost improvement opportunities through lean improvements, outsourcing or consolidation of facilities.
• Develop transformation plans to drive proposed changes and identify key risks and mitigation strategies.
• Implement and oversee the quality of deliverables and effectively manage the team and day‑to‑day relationships to ensure exceptional performance.
