Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal, a global consulting firm, is seeking a senior PEPI operations consultant to help manufacturing and distribution clients improve performance.

You will lead assessments, design transformation plans, and drive lean initiatives, Six Sigma, and manufacturing 4.0/IIoT projects, with emphasis on cost improvements and change management. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Massachusetts.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience with at least 4 years in manufacturing and/or distribution functions.
• Deep functional expertise in Supply Chain Operations, Manufacturing Operations & SI&OP, Footprint optimization, Manufacturing strategy, CapEx planning, Manufacturing 4.0/IIoT, Lean, Six Sigma, TOC, Value Engineering.
• Excellent fact-gathering and analytical skills, including business process mapping and quantitative analysis.
• Experience designing and leading internally and externally focused change/communications strategy.
• Previous strategy and change management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of a target’s manufacturing and distribution operations—organization design, production capacity, efficiency, quality, planning, warehousing, and team capability.
• Evaluate the maintainability and operability of production facilities.
• Review data to understand efficiency & capacity, including equipment conditions, maintenance logs, spare parts, and production numbers.
• Provide shop floor insights by talking with employees and customers and reviewing data.
• Identify cost improvement opportunities through lean improvements, outsourcing or consolidation of facilities.
• Develop transformation plans to drive changes and identify risks and mitigation strategies.
• Implement and oversee the quality of deliverables and manage the team and day-to-day relationships for performance.
