Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Senior PEPI professional to lead manufacturing and distribution improvement initiatives for middle-market and large-cap clients in the US. You will analyze operations, design changes, and drive cost improvements with a focus on value creation and EBITDA impact.

The role requires 7+ years of experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and deep expertise in Supply Chain and Manufacturing operations, Lean, Six Sigma, and related methodologies.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience, with a minimum of 4 years specializing in manufacturing and/or distribution functions.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Deep functional expertise in Supply Chain Operations, Manufacturing Operations & SI&OP, footprint optimization, CapEx planning, Manufacturing 4.0/IIoT, Lean, Six Sigma, TOC, and Value Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Gain understanding of target’s manufacturing and distribution operations including organization design, production capacity, efficiency, quality, planning, warehousing, and team capability.
• Evaluate the maintainability and operability of production facilities.
• Review current and historical data to understand efficiency and capacity, including equipment conditions, maintenance logs, spare parts, and detailed production numbers.
• Provide shop floor insights by talking with employees and customers and reviewing available data.
• Identify potential cost improvement opportunities through lean improvements, outsourcing or consolidation of facilities.
• Develop transformation plans to drive changes and identify risks and mitigation strategies.
• Implement and oversee the quality of deliverables and manage the team and day-to-day relationships to ensure exceptional performance.
