Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal in the United States seeks an Associate in Operations & Manufacturing to lead and deliver large client engagements within PEPI, partnering with private equity leadership to identify, design, and implement performance improvements.

The role requires 2–5+ years in manufacturing/distribution, deep Lean/Six Sigma capability, and the ability to develop transformation plans and manage a project team; salary ranges from $90,000 to $130,000 with discretionary bonus.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of professional experience with at least 3 years in manufacturing/distribution.
• Deep functional expertise in manufacturing/ops, supply chain, or related areas.
• Excellent data gathering and analytical skills for process mapping.
• Experience designing and leading change/communication strategies.
• Previous strategy and change management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of target’s manufacturing and distribution operations.
• Evaluate facilities’ maintainability and operability.
• Review data to assess efficiency and capacity, including equipment and production numbers.
• Provide shop-floor insights by engaging with employees and customers.
• Identify cost improvement opportunities through lean improvements or consolidation.
• Develop transformation plans and identify risks and mitigation strategies.
• Oversee deliverables quality and manage the team and day-to-day relationships.
