Job summary

Corning Inc. is seeking a highly analytical Financial Analyst to support global management of OPEX spend and financial governance.

You will partner with business leaders to ensure disciplined cost management, accurate forecasting, and strong governance while contributing to cross‑functional reporting and continuous process improvements. The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, close collaboration with operations and finance teams, and leveraging AI-enabled analytics to drive efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience collaborating across functions to solve complex problems.
• Knowledge of financial and management accounting, systems, compliance, and reporting.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking with ability to translate data into insights for leadership.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with high accuracy and service.
• Digital and data-driven approach to finance.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills across levels.

Responsibilities

• OPEX management: track, analyze, and report spend; provide variance analysis and insights.
• Month-end close & accounting support: journal entries, reconciliations, balance reviews.
• Budgeting, forecasting: support annual plan and monthly forecasts; maintain financial models.
• Headcount and labor cost analysis to inform workforce planning.
• Capital spend oversight: monitor capex for operating unit 1066; analyze spend vs. plan.
• Business partnering: lead monthly reviews with stakeholders and communicate drivers.
• Ad hoc analysis and process improvements; leverage AI and digital tools.
• Support automation of manual processes in OPEX reporting.
