Job summary

Corning Inc. in Phoenix, AZ, seeks a Senior Cost Analyst to support the assistant plant controller in monthly closes, budgeting, forecasting, and data-driven decision making.

You will manage cost accounting, fixed assets, inventory valuation, and capital investments analysis while maintaining internal controls in line with US GAAP and SOX. Cross-functional collaboration will drive cost reductions and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or equivalent technical degree required.
• 3+ years of manufacturing or relevant experience.
• Experience with PeopleSoft, SAP, Khalix; Six Sigma/Lean knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Close the financial books monthly and analyze actuals.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and ROI/IRR analysis.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities and maintain cost accounting systems.
• Inventory control, asset management, and manufacturing variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley.
