Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries’ Mission Technologies division seeks an Operations Watch Director and LVC Mission Coordinator to support Fleet Operations on SCTTR. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in Integrated and Sustainment Phase Training for naval forces, with senior staff planning background and familiarity with live, virtual, and constructive exercises.

The role requires flexibility for non-standard hours and 5+ years of exercise planning experience at Fleet or higher levels.

Qualifications

5 years relevant experience with Bachelor's in related field.
3 years relevant experience with Master's in related field.
0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field.
High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
U.S. citizen with US Government (DOD) Secret Clearance and ability to maintain.
Naval active duty experience at the senior officer level.
Experience in Exercise Planning at the Fleet or COCOM level.
Experience in Navy Amphibious Warfare, Strike Warfare, Surface Warfare, Air Warfare, or Naval Special Warfare operations.
Knowledge of Navy operational and administrative procedures and directives.

Responsibilities

Attend major exercise planning conferences.
Coordinate the scheduling and use of SCTTR exercise support systems with senior staff.
Ensure the safe planning and execution of hazardous operations to include surface-to-surface, surface-to-air, and air-to-surface live fire training events.
Advise Fleet Exercise Planners or Government Operations Directors of conflicts in training requirements with recommendations to meet these requirements.
Identify resource requirements and develop exercise planning materials for mission briefings.
Overall management, coordination, and execution of SCTTR supported events during FRTP Advanced, Integrated, and Sustainment Phase Training.
Effectively interface with individuals at all levels of the organization to include Flag Officers, Range Users and Range Support Activities.
Coordinate Live and Virtual/Constructive actions with SCTTR government Operations Directors and government designated military personnel.
Organize and facilitate training and certification exercises for Naval Fleet, Joint and International operations.
Establish written operational work instructions and procedures based on contract requirements, guidance, and policies.
Coordinate Exercise Control Facility communication and data link equipment set up and configuration in support of military operations.
Maintain computer database of range utilization, prepare reports of range availability/scheduling/ utilization.
