Job summary

ICON Consultants, LP is seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist, Operations to procure materials, equipment, spare parts, and services for plant operations, maintenance, and commissioning. The role is hands-on and onsite in Milford, UT (preferred) or Salt Lake City, UT, collaborating with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Finance to ensure uninterrupted operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain in energy or industrial environments.
• Experience purchasing MRO materials, critical parts, equipment, and services.
• Experience managing requisitions, POs, supplier expediting, and receiving discrepancies.
• Proficiency with ERP/procurement systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Strong Excel skills for procurement reporting and KPI tracking.
• Excellent negotiation, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize competing demands and respond to urgent requirements.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase MRO materials, spare parts, consumables, equipment, and services.
• Review requisitions and specifications; validate requirements and alternatives.
• Manage end-to-end PO lifecycle in ERP, including RFQs, negotiations, and closeout.
• Expedite orders and coordinate receiving, invoicing, and recovery.
• Develop local and regional suppliers; establish preferred-supplier relationships.
• Monitor pricing data, market conditions, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Evaluate supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Produce KPI reports on cycle times, on-time delivery, and cost savings.
