Job summary

Fervo Energy is seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist, Operations in Utah to source, purchase, and expedite spare parts, consumables, equipment, and services for commissioning, maintenance, and plant operations.

Based in Milford (preferred) or Salt Lake City, you will manage the PO lifecycle in the ERP system and collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Warehouse, Finance, Accounts Payable, and suppliers to maintain plant availability and drive cost competitiveness.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years purchasing/procurement in energy, power, manufacturing, or similar industrial settings.
• Experience procuring MRO materials, spare parts, equipment, and field services.
• Experience managing requisitions, POs, expediting, supplier performance, and invoice/receiving discrepancies.
• Proficiency with ERP or procurement systems (SAP/Oracle) and strong Excel, KPI reporting, and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure MRO materials, spare parts, consumables, chemicals, equipment, repair services, and other operational needs.
• Review requisitions for completeness and coordinate with Commissioning, Operations, and Production to confirm specs.
• Manage the complete PO lifecycle from quotation to closeout within the ERP system.
• Expedite orders and monitor supplier commitments and delivery dates; communicate delays and mitigation actions.
• Develop local and regional suppliers, preferred-supplier arrangements, catalogues, and blanket POs to improve competition.
• Maintain pricing data, benchmark market conditions, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Review warranty coverage and coordinate repairs, credits, recoveries, and escalation of issues.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement on cost, delivery, and quality.
• Prepare KPI reports covering PO cycle time, on-time delivery, open orders, savings, and warranty recovery.
