Job summary

ICON Consultants, LP is seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to support operational purchasing for a leading energy organization. This onsite role sources materials, equipment, spare parts, consumables, and services while managing supplier relationships and purchase orders.

Based in Salt Lake City with travel 2-3 times a month to Milford, you will oversee PO lifecycle, expediting, negotiations, and cost savings while ensuring procurement compliance and timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of purchasing, procurement or supply chain experience in energy or industrial settings.
• Experience procuring MRO materials, spare parts, and field services.
• Experience managing purchase requisitions, orders, expediting and invoicing discrepancies.
• Proficiency with SAP or Oracle ERP systems.
• Strong Excel, KPI reporting, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage urgent procurement while maintaining controls.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure MRO materials, spare parts, consumables, and services.
• Review requisitions and technical requirements for completeness.
• Coordinate with operations and engineering to confirm specs.
• Manage full purchase order lifecycle from quotations to closeout.
• Monitor supplier commitments and address delays and risks.
• Develop local and regional suppliers and preferred channels.
• Maintain pricing data and identify cost savings and consolidation.
• Review warranty coverage and coordinate warranty claims.
• Monitor supplier performance and warranty support.
• Prepare procurement metrics on PO cycle time, delivery, savings.
• Identify procurement risks and opportunities to improve processes.
