Xcel Energy, a leading electricity and natural gas provider in the region, seeks a Standard Operations Supervisor to lead a high-performing safety-focused team across multiple functions. The role emphasizes policy adherence, continuous improvement, and reliable, compliant operations while coordinating with stakeholders and balancing resources.

You will supervise crews, manage performance, and participate in bargaining-unit processes where applicable.

Qualifications

• Five or more years in design, construction, operations, engineering or maintenance of utility systems/power generation plants or related fields.
• Associates or technical degree preferred.
• Demonstrated technical expertise in standards, procedures, and regulations.
• Operational knowledge of work and asset management and analytical/reporting applications.
• Effective change leadership with clear communication of strategies to stakeholders.
• Proven results in achieving performance metrics and process adherence.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible safety leadership and contribute to a strong safety culture via meetings, audits and coaching.
• Evaluate team performance and drive improvements in efficiency, reliability and quality.
• Oversee crew effectiveness, productivity and removal of barriers to meet objectives.
• Recruit, train and develop talent; participate in workforce planning and coaching.
• Build and maintain internal and external relationships to support operations.
• Oversee regulatory compliance and ensure training and documentation meet standards.
